The first Samsung products to come pre installed with One UI 9.0 are the Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra, which will soon be available in stores. In the meantime, the company’s servers appear to have the first One UI 9.5 version.
The US version of the Galaxy S27 Ultra was found to have the firmware (build number S958USQU0AZH3). Similar to how the Galaxy S26 series debuted with One UI 8.5, the Galaxy S27 series will launch with One UI 9.5.
This is the first firmware build we have seen on Samsung’s servers, however development of One UI 9.5 is thought to have started as early as May of this year.
One UI 9.5 project is moving forward according to plan.
The development of the upcoming One UI version seems to be proceeding according to plan, since the first One UI 8.5 build for the Galaxy S26 series was found on July 25 last year.
Last year, One UI 8 and One UI 8.5 expedited that schedule. In order to keep up with Google’s quicker Android release cycle, Samsung started delivering significant One UI improvements early, beginning with Android 16.
This does not imply that public beta testing of One UI 9.5 will happen anytime soon. For smartphones older than the Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Flip 8, Samsung has not yet released the stable One UI 9.0 update. Only the Galaxy S26 series is presently eligible for the One UI 9 beta program.
Before the stable version formally launches with the Galaxy S27 series in 2027, we may anticipate that the One UI 9.5 beta will start around the same time this year. Samsung started the One UI 8.5 beta program in December of last year.
