Google Begins Rolling Out Gemini AI Integration to Chrome on iOS

Chrome

Google has officially started rolling out Gemini AI integration within Chrome for iOS, bringing its intelligent assistant directly into the browser experience for iPhone users. After debuting across Android and Mac platforms, Gemini is now expanding to Apple’s mobile ecosystem, making Chrome on iOS smarter and more interactive.

Gemini Comes to Chrome on iPhone

Until now, iOS users could only access Gemini’s features through the standalone app. With this latest update, users will soon be able to interact with Gemini directly in Chrome, without leaving their browsing session.

Once available, a “Get started” banner will appear in Chrome, guiding users through the setup process. After activation, the “Ask Gemini” feature will allow users to request summaries, generate FAQs, and receive insights based on the webpage content they’re viewing.

Smarter Browsing with AI Assistance

The integration enables users to ask contextual questions like “Summarize this page” or “Create key takeaways,” turning Gemini into a real-time assistant within Chrome. Users can also rate responses as good or bad, helping Google refine Gemini’s accuracy and performance.

For now, the update appears to be rolling out gradually, with early availability likely limited to U.S.-based users who have Chrome set to English. The feature can be accessed via the Page Tools (three-dot menu) in Chrome.

A Step Toward Unified AI Across Platforms

This rollout is part of Google’s broader effort to integrate Gemini across all major platforms—Android, ChromeOS, and now iOS—ensuring a consistent AI experience regardless of device.

With Gemini now embedded directly into Chrome for iPhone, users can look forward to more efficient, AI-powered browsing, eliminating the need to switch between apps for information, summaries, or content generation.
