The Luna Pro gimbal camera, which was co-engineered with Leica, has been revealed by Insta360. The Luna Pro can produce high-quality material for short-form social media sites since it can record native 4K vertical video. It also has simplified editing, user-friendly controls, and AI-powered tracking.
The Luna Pro uses a 1-inch 8K sensor, 8K Dolby Vision footage, 10-bit I-Log, a 20mm (35mm equivalent focal length) F1.8 Leica Summicron lens, and an integrated timecode. It is said that the 1-inch 8K sensor with Leica Summicron lens provide strong low-light performance and detailed photos.
A dedicated imaging chip and a 4nm chip are combined in the camera’s dual AI chip architecture.
The Luna Pro’s touchscreen can be rotated to change position and begin capturing vertical content. It also supports native 4K 30fps vertical video with 6K oversampling. It can capture 8K Dolby Vision footage in addition to 4K at 120 frames per second and 1080p at 240 frames per second. With support for ACES processes, recording in H.265 10-bit I-Log is possible at a maximum bandwidth of 120Mbps.
