OnePlus 15 Launches in China with Snapdragon 8 Gen 5

OnePlus 15

The highly anticipated OnePlus 15 has officially made its debut in China, marking the next step in OnePlus’s flagship lineup. The smartphone arrives with impressive upgrades, including Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor and a stunning 165Hz refresh rate display, offering smoother performance than ever before.

OnePlus first teased the design and specifications of the 15 back in September, confirming its focus on power and speed. The device packs a massive 7,300mAh battery, one of the largest ever featured in a OnePlus smartphone, supporting 120W fast charging for quick power-ups. However, it’s unclear if the same battery capacity will extend to global models, as large batteries are often limited to Chinese variants.

Camera enthusiasts will find a triple 50MP setup on the rear, featuring an upgraded periscope lens for enhanced zoom and detail. The phone also carries an IP69K rating, ensuring strong resistance to dust and water — a rare feature even among premium smartphones.

In China, the OnePlus 15 starts at ¥3,999 (around $560), making it a competitively priced flagship. Alongside it, OnePlus has also launched the Ace 6, which could launch globally as the OnePlus 15R. The Ace 6 offers a larger 7,800mAh battery and a simpler dual-camera system, catering to budget-conscious buyers.

While the global release date remains unconfirmed, OnePlus has hinted that the worldwide launch is “coming soon,” fueling excitement among fans worldwide awaiting the brand’s latest innovation.
