Pre-orders for the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone Ultra’s release date

Although Apple has not yet disclosed the release and announcement dates for the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone Ultra, the dates typically follow a well-known pattern

The event is anticipated to happen in the first half of September, as is customary.

This year’s Labor Day is September 7. The last time the holiday fell on that day was in 2020, but the COVID-19 epidemic caused the iPhone event to be postponed until October of that year. Therefore, the iPhone event took place on Wednesday, September 9 in 2015, the last time Labor Day fell on September 7 in a typical year.

Until proven otherwise, Wednesday, September 9 is the most likely date for this year’s iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone Ultra event.

Pre-orders started on Saturday, September 12, instead of Friday, September 11, when the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus event took place on Wednesday, September 9 in 2015. Pre-orders for iPhones typically start on Friday, but Apple may have been politely avoiding September 11 in 2015 because it was the anniversary of 9/11.

Therefore, unless Apple makes a change, pre-orders for the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone Ultra may start on Saturday, September 12 of this year. In such scenario, Friday, September 18 would probably be the devices’ release date.

Pre-orders would probably start on Friday, September 18 if Apple decided to postpone the event until Tuesday, September 15. The devices would then probably be made available on Friday, September 25.

For the time being, we are only able to make these educated assumptions because Apple has not yet disclosed any official dates. We will soon learn the precise dates.
