Mike Judge and Greg Daniels founded King of the Hill, which ran from 1997 to 2009. It was most renowned for its distinctive fusion of small-town American life, humor, and family values. The program featured propane salesman Hank Hill, his strange family, and his peculiar neighbors in the made-up town of Arlen, Texas.
Premiere Date
The King of the Hill revival will debut on the Disney-owned streaming service on August 4, just over two and a half years after Hulu made the announcement.
New Season of King of the Hill (Hulu Description)
“After years working a propane job in Saudi Arabia to earn their retirement nest egg, Hank and Peggy Hill return to a changed Arlen, Texas, to reconnect with old friends Dale, Boomhauer and Bill. Meanwhile, Bobby is living his dream as a chef in Dallas and enjoying his 20s with his former classmates Connie, Joseph and Chane.”
Original Voice Cast Returns
Season 14 features the return of a large number of the original voice actors from the show, including co-creator Mike Judge, Kathy Najimy, Pamela Adlon, Johnny Hardwick, Stephen Root, Lauren Tom, and Toby Huss. In August 2023, Hardwick, who narrated Hank’s (Judge) conspiracy-loving neighbor Dale Gribble, passed away. He had recorded some voiceovers for the revival at the time.
