Free Security Cameras are Part of the T-Mobile Home Internet Promo

T-Mobile is giving away a free bundle that includes the Blink Mini Pan-Tilt camera and the Blink Outdoor 4 two-camera system to customers who are moving to their fixed wireless 5G Home Internet service. According to the carrier, the bonus is valued at $229.97.

Professional installation is not necessary for T-Mobile 5G Internet. When combined with a voice service, the monthly cost is $40, but it is $60 when purchased separately.

Because telecommunications firms already have bidirectional connectivity to subscriber premises, home and small business security is seen as a major potential offering. The allure is amplified due to the growing curiosity of small business and residential owners in video security services.

For example, Windstream announced in October 2022 that a video doorbell camera option was being added to its Kinetic Secure Home DIY home security system. Customers can “monitor their homes, track deliveries and visitors, day and night, from wherever they are,” the business stated, with this option.

In November 2022, GVTC Communications introduced Arlo Secure linked cameras. Calix said in January of the following year that the service had 200% surpassed its launch registration targets.

This industry is bustling. According to Strategy Analytics, in June 2022, the top five firms were Alarm.com, Google’s Nest, Wyze, Arlo, and Ring.

Over 14 million cameras were shipped by the five of them together in the previous year. That accounted for around 20 percent of the 72 million cameras delivered by the industry overall. According to the research, entry-level cameras from APAC-based firms drove the category’s “roar back” from the previous year.

SimpliSafe’s home security system was made accessible on Verizon 5G Home Internet and Fios services for free in May 2022. HD indoor house cameras, two entry sensors, a base station, a keypad, and a month of complimentary professional monitoring were all included in the setup. According to the company, the package had a value exceeding $400.
