Google Doodle Celebrates Cambodia’s Independence Day

Happy Independence Day, Cambodia!

The present Doodle observes Cambodia’s Independence Day, a yearly remembrance of the date in 1953 when the country proclaimed its freedom from French provincial principle.

Portrayed in the Doodle craftsmanship is the blue-and-red, on a level plane striped Cambodian banner, which grandstands the primary structure of the country’s antiquated Angkor Wat sanctuary complex.

When the capital of Cambodia’s old Khmer domain, Angkor Wat–which means “temple city”– is a striking accomplishment of engineering discovered only miles outside the city of Siem Reap.

The sanctuary is only one of the notable structures arranged in the approximately 400-square-kilometer Angkor Archeological Park, which is engraved on UNESCO’s World Heritage List and generally proclaimed as one of Southeast Asia’s most cherished locales.
