YouTube produces it simpler for makers to change channel name and profile picture

YouTube is rolling out a highly requested feature from makers. It’ll be simpler for them to switch the name and profile picture on their channel without rolling out similar improvements on their Google account. Accordingly, the move will help makers keep their Google accounts particular from related YouTube channels.

To change those details (and maybe align the branding more with your actual videos), you can do as such through the My Channel options in the wake of tapping or clicking your profile picture.

There’s one key caveat: if your channel is confirmed and you change the name, you’ll lose the verification badge. You’ll have to re-apply for the checkmark. Custom URLs will not be influenced on the off chance that you change the channel name, and nor will the musical note that shows up close to the name of official artist channels.
