Apple Watch Ultra 3 Set to Launch in 2025 After Two-Year Gap

Apple is set to release the long-awaited Apple Watch Ultra 3 later this year, according to Jeff Pu, a trusted analyst at GF Securities in Hong Kong. His investor roadmap indicates that both the Apple Watch Series 11 and the new Ultra model will be part of Apple’s upcoming product lineup for 2025.

The announcement comes after a full year without a hardware update to the rugged Apple Watch Ultra. In 2024, Apple simply introduced a new black titanium color for the Ultra 2, frustrating fans hoping for meaningful improvements.

Pu’s prediction lines up with industry expert Mark Gurman of Bloomberg, who previously suggested that the Ultra 3 could feature 5G support and even satellite connectivity, major additions that could justify the extended development period.

If true, these upgrades would represent a significant leap for Apple’s premium smartwatch, offering more advanced connectivity for outdoor and emergency use.

The Ultra 3 is expected to debut during Apple’s annual fall event, alongside updates to the rest of the Apple Watch family. Pu’s broader forecast also hints at the release of a new HomePad tablet this year and a delayed AirPods Pro 3, now pushed to 2026.

For original Apple Watch Ultra owners, this year’s release may finally deliver the substantial improvements they’ve been waiting for.
