Jennifer Lopez now signed a Netflix deal

Variety reports that the multi-hyphenate and her production organization, Nuyorican Productions, inked a multi-year, first-look deal with the streamer. Alongside her creating partners Benny Medina and Elaine Goldsmith-Thomas, Lopez will produce scripted and unscripted film and TV content, pointed toward showcasing diverse female actors, writers, and filmmakers.

“I am excited to announce my new partnership with Netflix. Elaine, Benny, and I believe there is no better home for us than a forward-leaning content creation company that seeks to defy conventional wisdom and directly market to the millions across the globe who no longer view art and entertainment with the kind of boundaries and limitations of the past,” Lopez said in a statement. “We at Nuyorican Productions are thrilled to find like-minded partners in Ted Sarandos, Scott Stuber, Bela Bajaria and the whole team and look forward to getting to work right away.”

This isn’t Lopez’s first Netflix outing — the streamer recently reported two J.Lo movies, action film The Mother and The Cipher, in view of the novel of a similar name by Isabel Ojeda Maldonado.

As indicated by Variety, J.Lo is as of now training for her role in The Mother, which considers her to be a deadly assassin who emerges from hiding to teach her daughter how to survive.
