NFL will play one of six wild-card games on Monday night

The NFL is expanding the wild-card weekend, as the league declared Friday that one of its six first-round playoffs would be played on Monday, Jan. 17.

The schedule for wild-card weekend will presently highlight two games on Saturday, three on Sunday and one on Monday. No declaration was made with regards to which organization would air each game, however CBS and NBC will communicate two challenges that end of the week while Fox and ESPN will each have one.

The 2020 playoff games included 14 teams for the first time, with just the No. 1 seed in every conference getting a bye to the divisional round.
