With a free DLC mission in Valhalla, Ubisoft prepares the next Assassin’s Creed

Unexpected DLC for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla from Ubisoft features a character from the following game, Assassin’s Creed Mirage.

Ubisoft announced on Twitter that a new quest called Shared History, which introduces Roshan from the upcoming Mirage to Eivor, the protagonist of Valhalla, can now be downloaded for free, as reported by Polygon.

Basim, another character from Valhalla and the protagonist of the following game, has Roshan as his mentor. Roshan is naturally a master assassin due to his status, and her quest begins with some hinting at what’s to come in Mirage.

Together with the previously announced Last Chapter, this DLC concludes Valhalla’s post-launch content and comes more than two years after the game’s November 2020 release. It makes sense that Ubisoft wants to tease the next game in its final piece of DLC for the Viking adventure, given that it has already been confirmed to conclude Eivor’s story.

The next mainline Assassin’s Creed game, Mirage, was officially announced in September and leaked earlier this year. It will be released sometime in 2023. Mirage promises a hopeful return to the franchise’s roots, taking place in Baghdad around 20 years prior to Valhalla’s events.
